Work day October 22nd 2023

While work prevented Martin from joining us this week, his no-rain dance is clearly still effective from a distance. It was the best of days in a soggy old week.

We did lots of useful jobs, including:

• serious trimming and tidying of the Pen Row hedge;
• clearing in the Dell, including preparation for a pilot woodland flower garden;
• building a new compost box and managing the area;
• clearing used barley boom material;
• removing intrusive tree roots and strimming around the pond;
• Tidying flower beds and bulb planting areas;
• Litter picking and collecting fallen branches;
• Installing the support post for the new mosaic panel.

We also managed to cram in hot drinks and cake break.
