Work day: August 22nd, 2021

The focus was late-summer tidying, with some serious hedge trimming, judicious strimming, weeding, clipping, pruning, bramble/nettle control, pond-clearing, sweeping and litter-picking. Whilst some toiled on, others developed a sudden interest in local fauna – a lime hawk moth caterpillar had been spotted and rescued from the hedge trimmers. Find out more about these moths here:…

PondLife – July 11th and 31st, 2021

Two dates involving repairing the pond stone edging close to the path. Raw materials were sourced from the bottom of the pond and behind the shed.
