Our Conway Reccers turned out in good numbers on a cool, dryish Sunday just before the Spring Equinox.
Important jobs got done, as always. They included:
* keeping our mosaic and information panels spotless and sparkling;
* pruning cornus (dogwood) behind the pond to encourage the growth of its striking red stems;
* building the first wildlife residence in the Dell from cut oak logs and organic packing;
* picking/packing litter and recyclables, including the inevitable pond balls;
* mowing along path edges, while leaving crocuses, snowdrops, narcissi and other flowers safe to bloom;
* watering the new wild flower patch under the oaks;
* tidying around the Clubhouse, sweeping, barrowing, composting and stacking green waste for collection;
* absorbing hot drinks and a bit of cake.
