This was a special work day. Our (recently retired) Enfield Council Volunteer friends came by to visit. It was an opportunity to thank them for all their past help with our ongoing trimmings and choppings as well as more strenuous projects such as removing the leylandii to make way for the planting of the new hedge in 2017 (or thereabouts…).
It was a lovely day and thank you all so much, Reccers, for your ideas, work and generous contributions. All much appreciated – not least by our ECV pals, who have been in touch to say how much they enjoyed the event and how they loved seeing how the Rec has developed (in no small measure due to the help they gave us over the years). Now for some other grass-related activities!
