We had our workday on the 12th of July and, once again, we had wonderful weather, albeit fairly hot.
The grass was mowed on Pen Row and hedges were cut and trimmed. It may now be possible to see the pond from the clubhouse patio without the use of a stepladder (!) We cut back plants under the old oak tree and cut down and removed the damson tree near Court 5 as well as some of the more tenacious alder roots around and within the pond edging.
We had our usual tea, coffee, cake and lively conversation.
Thanks to all and we will meet again on 30th August for another day of work-based chat and refreshment.
